A Sig P226. I don't believe in Hollywood Quiet, BUT.... In the 128-135 db range

I ended up getting the AAC TiRant in .45
I can/do use it for a 9mm 1911, a .45 1911 and 300blk (subsonic only). The slightly higher db from a mismatched caliber to the size of the can is ok with me. I'm not a mall ninja.
You'll need a piston/booster for the P226. I'd suggest looking at the Osprey 9 or Octane 9 by Silencerco. You can go with the 45 versions and add caliber versatility at the expense of some extra weight and length. Make sure the adapters/boosters are well supported with whatever you buy. The noise reduction you are looking for is realistic. The Omega 9K will also work but will be toward the higher end of the DB range. But is it less than 10oz and under 5" long!
I own a Osprey 9, Octane 9, and waiting on stamps for a Gemtech Auror and Degroat Nano. I have only 9mm host and will adjust and buy a bigger caliber can should that ever become an issue. My next suppressor purchase will be a SiCo Omega 9k that will live on my Scorpion until I can eventually pick up a HK sear and gun.
You could purchase an Octane 45 and use a 9mm end cap, which is reported to be quieter than the Octane 9.
Cool deal. Thanks for the info. Now...... Where do I find these;(or any suppressor), and how much do I expect to pay?
I have done some reading in the Osprey. It seems like a pretty sturdy little can as well. Would you recommend getting one for a 45 and using it with a 9mm? Or going with the 9mm dedicated can?
