I lived through 2 city-wide black-outs of NYC, one as a child in the 60s and one as a teen in the late 70s or early 80s and in neither case was it all that bad. The 80s had looting but it was largely isolated to a few already relatively bad neighborhoods.

I am sure NATGEO will postulate a worst-case scenario to feed the prejudices many of us harbor but the reality is that history suggests that, absent other factors, it just won't be that bad.

It wasn't too bad. didn't really show the entire picture, but I think that would have been impossible. Thought the jackass teenage kid that screwed the colorado family was funny. No way you can be generous in that kind situation I guess.

It was just an "ok" show. Just dont wanna get caught in an elevator.

Yeah, it was decent. I didn't feel like I wasted my time watching it. I recorded TWD though. I don't think I would've been happy if I'd missed the Dead in favor of it. Lots of shaky camera, which I hate.

Well we watched the WD instead, I'll have to watch this later.
I snuck a couple peeks during the commercials and it looked okay.

My wife got stuck in the big blackout while in Toledo a while back.
Wasn't bad in that town back then, but who knows how it would be today.
Lots more unemployed up there now who are closer to being pushed over the edge.
