Anyone have one of those nice army tents?

I have some of the thick canvas tarps that snap together I have used them and some rope to make a pretty good tent. How many people are going to be sleeping in the tent? Depending how many I have we could probably rig something up for ya if you don't find anything.

While I was in i never saw a "nice" army tent. But try to check army surplus stores. Ones near bases usually have a bigger selection.

The new ones are much nicer than they used to be. We are talking windows and flaps with straps etc. .

Google for surplus auctions, couple years ago I was looking for a tent and found a site that was auctioning tents and other stuff. Gov surplus, some of it was at Tinker some at other bases in the state. I also found a site that sold surplus tents (most had been repaired, stitched up tears etc etc). Craigslist might be a source as well. I have a canvas wall tent and was thinking of the portable AC thing as well, let us know how it works.

The bigger tents for TOC's and what not were usually pretty nice, but all the smaller stuff was usually pretty beat up. If that can be found in a smaller version i would be interested as well.
