A guy in BA use to do that when i worked construction 10 years ago.
I always found that amazing.

A company in Tahlequah would only hire drivers that knew how to load that way. Makes it hard to put the tailgate on and off. Not sure about DOT regulations. Never see it done now.

I used to load a backhoe like that on a float trailer back in my roustabout days. Every equipment operator I worked with could load a hoe like that. Its only scary the first time you do it.

I've seen a guy load up a back hoe into a train car and cross a creek without the wheels touching the water.
