Cattlemen’s and Texlahoma are both equal in their respective food types (both average at best)

But hey, I don’t care if people think the $15 sandwich and side from Texlahoma is worth it - I think the place is generally dirty, overpriced and not very good YMMV.

They are 4.4⭐️ from their reviews (about average for BBQ) so seems like I’m in the majority.
I met a friend at texlahoma today for lunch. It was $15 for sandwich, side, and a drink. In my line of work we know BBQ and I would rate it way over priced for a small quantity of food and well below average. If I weren't 55+ I would have remembered this thread. :)

I don't know of anywhere in Edmond that is worth going to for GOOD BBQ, honestly.

So far in Oklahoma Ken's in Amber is probably my favorite.

Though not in Edmond I have to mention this place. Ate at Station 8 barbecue in Wichita Ks. Bought a fender from a guy in Hays, Ks, He said he would meet at Station 8 in Wichita on a Saturday at 11 am. The line was out the door 50+ deep. Got inside the door another 15+. The best bbq joint ive been too. This place is like you picked the best single item from all the bbq places you been too and had them all in one place.

You guys haven't had bad BBQ until you've tried Dickie's.
I will call your Dickie’s and raise you an Iron Star Urban BBQ in OKC (36th and N. Shartel).

I was there about eight to ten years ago and it was “good”. Today we took the family and it was really bad.

Ordered their brisket and pulled pork. Brisket was bland and it crumbled when cut. The pulled pork was like they ran it through a processor to where it was a click off of the consistency of instant mashed potatoes.

Never seen much less tasted BBQ this bad. I was waiting to be asked what I thought but no one there did.

If it was worse that what I had a Dickie's it must have been really bad . . . :)

South of Sallisaw maybe 4-5 miles, on the east side.
And I designed the new highway over the big hill.
I picked up BBQ there like 30 years ago
after it won an award of some kind.
The place was a dump with diesel and bottle caps for a floor and outside trash barrel by door.
Has it changed
