I have a Henry .22 magnum. Our local range has one match per year for lever guns on steel.I just picked up a Henry lever action. If you want something that'll drive a tack but isn't the usual "AR copycat" that everyone else has, give it a few shots! Definitely gets you making friends on the range. I pulled it out of the box and had a crowd inside of 5 minutes! And that 45-70 model will definitely put a dent in some steel, but they have calibers that go from .22 up to 45 if your shoulder isn't a recoil eater.
im with you on that 100%. Ive had the cheap Italian guns but the next one will be a Shiloh.Myself, I want a Shiloh Sharps in .45-70. There's just something about those old single-shot rifles from the time when men were men, women were women, and the sheep were nervous.
Ok, I really want one in .45-120, but I'm too lazy and cheap to handload those buggers.
