A local high end burger joint here in KC is hosting a Battle of the Burgers. You submit your recipe online and get a $10 coupon for the restaurant. If you win, you get a burger a week for a year and get your burger added to their menu. These are $10 - $12 burgers so it's a decent prize. I know a lot of you on here seem to be pretty good cooks, or at least you can talk a good game. I thought I'd get some feedback for my recipe submissions.

Queso Fundido Burger
6 oz Chuck/Brisket blend mixed with 2 oz Chorizo
Melted Queso Chihuahua
Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms
Tomatillo Sauce
on a Telera Roll

Oklahoma Onion Burger (Y'all can really chime in on this one)
2 - 4 oz Chuck/Brisket blend patties
smashed into half a caramelized onion slices
topped with 2 thick slices of American Cheese
on a butter toasted Brioche Bun

Would any of you add pickle or some type of sauce for the onion burger? Any suggestions for either would be welcome.

I'm the type that loves burgers without any messy sauces on them. Seasoned meat, caramelized onions, cheese and sometimes jalapeños... Your Oklahoma Onion Burger looks like a winner to me :clap3:

I will need to do a full taste test to tell if this is a good recipe that will fill my burger needs.
