That's about the only thing I really miss about living in Corpus. Taquerias on every block, not a Taco Bell in sight. What a delicious place to live.

Most of the places we ate were mom and pop restaurants. They couldn't speak english and I don't speak spanish, so all the menu's had pictures. Point at something that looked good and order it.

I lived in South Carolina in 97. There was a taco bell and one Mexican restaurant. When my sister moved to Iowa about 15 years ago they only had 1 Mexican place it was called Carlos Okelly's cause damn if that don't sound authentic. After many years the correct folks have migrated to each of those places and they now both have decent Mexican restaurants.
