I still see some things I’m concerned about.

“G. H. For purposes of this section, "sawed-off shotgun or
rifle" shall mean any shotgun or rifle which has been shortened to
any length.”

I’m concerned about the words “shortened to any length”.

An example, say you’re out hunting and damage a shotgun barrel and have to have a smith cut an inch off of a 26” barrel. “shortened to any length” now makes it illegal.

I also see some changes that now say a magazine loaded shotgun or rifle must now be transported in a locked container.

I didn’t see anything about NFA items mentioned.

Is my legalese way off or are they trying to slip some bad stuff in hoping we wouldn’t notice?

The "sawed-off" portions in this bill apply to felons possessing firearms (they're not allowed to have one of any length).

EDIT: Also... transport can be in the interior of the vehicle:

"not chamber-loaded when transported, and in an exterior locked compartment of the vehicle or trunk of the vehicle or in the interior compartment of the vehicle."

This bill only does away with the permit, nothing else

It was all for Constitutional Carry. Now, they need to let teachers carry in school.

HB3192. I talked to Babinec last week and he thinks it is dead this year. But OK2A has proven in the past to be pretty good at reintroducing something like this into another bill late in the session. 3192 adds a few simple changes that allow school boards, if they choose to do so, to bypass the CLEET training requirement.
