That takes a lot of courage to admit on this board (being 100% serious, not a troll). You offer a lot of contrast to some of the other perspectives shared here.

There's pretty much reasons every president sucks. They all do something right too (by skill, luck or lots of help). We just gotta pick our poisons wisely.

That I can agree with. They all do some things right and some wrong because no one is perfect, and not everyone will agree on what is the right thing for the country. Anymore I just try to pick who I think will do the least damage.

Another point mentioned that is worth repeating, the President usually has very little to do with the economy. It is mostly congress unless the prez is doing something to hold down the economy like Obama is with his energy policy. Even then it usually takes 2 years after congress passes bills or the prez's policies are put into place to have any real effect.

Curious if you also think Reagan's expansion of the military sucked too. Much of what ran up those defecits.

We did it to be the undisputed military leaders during the Cold War. But according to the Capitalists, the Soviets would have and did fall based on the inherent flaws of Socialism. Supply shortages, underemployment, etc. So was it Reagan? Or because the Commie Scum couldn't sustain the utopian facade?

(Psst! I'm not buying it was Reagan).

i wouldnt say sucked, his expansion gave me a job and source of income. I didnt join military out of patriotic duty, rather to get out of house and make a little money.
As for the deficit under reagan, i just remember aunts, uncles, dad and others complain that our grandkids could never payoff such a huge debt. Much like the rhetoric of today.
