Does the CCW Training Certificate Expire

I took the course several years ago and never followed through with submitting the application. Now I was finally thinking about getting it sent in but didn't know If I would need to retake the training?

It may be worthwhile to do it anyway.

No, they don't expire.

The oldest certificate I've known them to still take was two years old. You can call 1-800-207-6724 wait to you get a person and ask them.

I just called our local sheriff"s dept a couple of months ago, asking that same question. The deputy that gave us (wife and I) our certificates said three yrs. Carter Co.

I had same question two weeks ago so I called OSBI. They said as long as you have original certificate it does not expire.

It does not expire but the SDA laws do change. Go to the OSBI website and familiarize yourself with the law.

According to my CCW instructor, he said he asked the same question to CLEET, and they told him there is no expiration. He said he knows of one that was 10 years out.
