Yep. It will work on anything that jolts your midsection. That pillow will be your best friend for a while. It also helps when you are doing exercises to strengthen those muscles they cut on but I'm guessing you won't be starting those for a few more days.
Pain level has dropped a lot as of today so I'mma stretch it out to my next dose of pain meds and see what happens. Had mushroom soup, custard (blah) and milk for lunch followed by a walk that seemed like half a mile but they said it was 250' and they said that was very good.

You'll be chasing nurses down the hall before you know it if you keep that up.
The pillow thing works. When you have open heart surgery and have the urge to sneeze,cough, hiccup,etc. they give you a stuffed bear. Hold the bear to your chest and squeeze.

I think it was Mercy hospital, but a brother-in-law had heart surgery there and they gave him a heart shaped pillow. There has been enough in my family with heart issues that I learned that about 10 or 12 years ago.
Moving to Jim Thorpe rehab today or tomorrow.
