Where to look? What is a good brand? I read on here in a post, that Masterbuilt is a stay away from brand. We seen them at Academy today.

All this cooking/smoking on here lately has us on the hunt for one.

Hmmm Good question. Wife wants one that will last, we will keep it stored out of the weather and all. Do they get real expensive? Like a grand?

You must be getting old. I have never posted a post about buying a Elect Smoker. So let's carry on!

Cookshack is good. Expensive, but worth it. Also made in Ponca City for what that may be worth.

I gave $1,000.00 for a Cookshack in 2000. 14 years later it is still puffing away. I keep it covered with their cover and it's protected on covered patio.

My sister bought a Cookshack recently an paid, I believe around $1,500.00.

I like stuff that works, and last's. Sounds like the top of the heap on Smokers!

I've got a Cookshack SM045 and love the heck out of it. It's oklahoma built, sturdy, insulated and works everytime. Great customer service too. I know you are in Choctaw, but I know Everything BBQ in Edmond sells Cookshack smokers. They are off May and Memorial on the northwest corner.
