OK. These are pretty classic. Thanks for starting the thread, Rick. It does my "Bah, Humbug" heart good to say this really tickled my funny bone.
Elf on a shelf.
1st time I heard of him was this year. Saw this little guy in a red Santa suit sittin' on a speaker mounted on the wall. Wife explained to me why he was there overlookin' the living room. She put it there to help the grandchildren make good choices. There's even a darned book about the Elf on a Shelf.
My reaction? You hung a freakin' RAT on our wall! Get that sucker out'a here.
Her reaction? Ignored me.
He may find his way out to the range before Christmas...

Last week when my GF told me that these were actually a thing, I thought she was joking. But sure enough, I looked on my facebook feed, and there were several of them on there. Now I get on here and see they have even spread to OSA.
Fortunately my old lady thinks they're just as gay as I do, so I don't have to worry about them making an appearance if we have kids. She's a bigger anti-authoritarian than I am, so no worries on our future offspring being conditioned to accept surveillance or BS stories designed to control them.
