Quick question on the fingerprint cards, is it a requirement to have someone do the prints, or is it OK to buy cards and a pad and do it yourself?
Aren't most done electronically now? I'm guessing no on them allowing you do your own finger prints. That would be like doing your own drug test off site and bringing in the specimen.
If you're needing it done for some sort of license or cert, you'll need to have an LEO do it for you. We have fingerprint cards with our ORI numbers on them that we sign and date for you showing that it was done by an LEO. Most PD/SO's do it for free to very cheap. Majority of SO's have electronic ones that will almost always be approved.
EDIT:
Just realized which forum this was in. I would look to your local SO and see what they charge to have it done. Tulsa Co will have an electronic fingerprint machine.
Yeah I didn't realize this was the class 3 forum. But I'm still guessing no lol
I'm going to say that the provided fingerprint cards that you'd get from a PD/SO is sufficient. The ones we give are the blue cards that are used for applications/certifications/etc. The cards we provide will have the ORI on them, which is how the feds will confirm that you went to a PD/SO, as well as a signature and date from the fingerprinting officer.
