I've had surefire/ dog stole it and lost it somewhere. I have fenix. But the best bang for the buck flashlight I use now is 2,000 lumens and under $40.

The flashlight that I (almost) always have on me is an Olight Baton 3. @Glock 'em down will love it because it's rechargeable, but it lives in a case that's also an external battery pack, so it stays charged as long as you keep the case charged. It doesn't throw as much light as the ProTac, but it's also about the size of the ProTac's battery compartment.
It also has a cool feature in that its pocket clip is a flattened S-shape, so it can be clipped onto something facing either direction--f'rinstance, you can clip it to your shirt pocket facing up or down. It's also small enough that you can clip it to the bill of your cap and use it as a headlight, something I've done on numerous occasions.
The last Streamlight I bought to go in my first aid kit (an 88061 dual-fuel ProTac 1L-1AA) also has that style of clip, so it looks like that might be catching on.

All the people crying about rechargeable flashlights don’t buy the right ones or haven’t looked if they can just swap batteries. All mine support 18650 and or cr123’s. If the rechargeable ever dies, I can in the cr123s. It’s not died yet.
