Ugly for sure. Looks like a hairless opossum. The animal in the second link doesn't. Looks similar to the creatures in the chupacabra Monster Quest episode.

some kinda weird cross breed or something. Might be a "chupacabra". Legs are too long to be a dog, or even a possum IMHO. Might have mange, but that doesn't explain the weird anatomy.

That actually sounds pretty accurate. Not sure if that explains the first one, but the second could easily be a coon.

My dad was a vet. The game warden in Stephens County used to bring him ALL kinds of critters ... I have seen raccoon and possum with mange before but never one as bad as the one in the picture. They ought to just kill it and put it out of its misery. Mange doesn't look uncomfortable but I promise you that poor guy is suffering ...
