In college, we had a special telephone system that let you call the dorm you wanted and the specific room number. We would call girls at random and in our best British Monty Python voices, "Hello, this is an obscene phone call. Please state your preference, rank, semi-rank, or slightly suggestive."

When I was in grade school, I was an alter boy, and I remember getting calls like that, the voice always sounded like Father Ironrod.

There was a travel agent in Houston that would send faxes at 3am. Several times, I came in and the fax machine would be out of paper and the queue full.

Before leaving at days end, I taped 5 pages into a loop through the fax and sent to them, running all night.

Had to repeat on Friday, ran all weekend. Never got another fax from them.

Sometimes you must get creative to get your point across to some people.
