help choosing an AR15

I know, I know, this topic has been covered a thousand times. I'd appreciate your advice, I'm quite overwhelmed.

I'd like to spend no more then $800- possible?. I would like a M4 configuration. This will be a sporting gun, I don't think I need all the bells and whistles, but would like as much mil-spec for the $$$ as possible.

I've been looking at a RRA CAR A4 kit and a CMMG bargain bin M4.
I'd prefer to minimize the assembly required, but would feel comfortable assembling a lower if needed.

Any suggestion for a local store? (Marks, MAS Gunworks, Vital Arms)

If it helps show intended use, I already have a Millett DMS waiting for a home.

A Stag Model 2 would be right at your price mark and be better quality then the RRA, CMMG or Delton above.

Budget is always a factor so get the most you can for what you are spending.

Not really bold...popularity doesn't automatically equal quality.

While a popular brand can also be a quality brand, simply being popular doesn't make it so.
