Helped my dad w/a used truck

I helped my 74 year old dad look at a used truck today. It went well, he liked it and it met my very picky approval. But then he ruined my negotiating. I entered into negotiations with the guy and while we were in discussion my dad said "I will give you .....". That ruined my negotiation. As we were driving it back I asked him to be a little more careful with my inheritance.

I have exactly this problem with my old Dad. Let him do what he wants. He will anyway. My Dad was crazy when crazy wasnt cool.

Preacherman, what makes you think you know more about old pickups than your 74 year old dad? (I'm 73, btw. I have the right to ask this question.)

I told my dad the same thing, have fun with what he worked hard for and instilled in me to do this very day. I only want some of his personal effects when the day comes that the Lord requests my dads service.

By the way I am 37 if that matters much.
