The story in the OP is a horrible story. Period. It doesn't mean anything other than what it means.
It's been in the newspaper and online almost every day since it happened.
While that sort of incident doesn't happen all the time, the violent nature of the attack doesn't shock anyone anymore.

Wow, this one was all over the news, I even started a thread about it. One of the Strait's grandchildren works for my wife.

There are fools on both sides of every issue making asses out of themselves at the expense of the victims. Be it fringe Republicans, or the New Black Panther Party. It's despicable on all counts.
