I just talked with a guy from Atoka, he said there are plenty of hogs in the WMA in that area.
How far are you looking to travel?
Check out the Keystone WMA, just outside Cleveland. On the North side of the river, there is a good hog population. Boston Pool and John Lowery Unit are good areas.

I was at the John Lowery unit in January and saw A LOT of hog sign, but no hogs.
I was there a couple of years ago. Saw lots of hog sign like you did, but no hogs. The GW for the area said that dog hunters kept them pretty nocturnal.
All that private land across the road from the John Lowery unit (3000+ acres )
Belonged to some people named Lemons and Wallace Friend.
We had it leased many, many years ago and the trespassing dog hunters kept
everything so stirred up. That the place was basically worthless for hunting.
Poachers were rampant. There was a nice turkey flock there and some guy killed
them all roost shooting one night. At least the warden caught him in the act.
I might have to make a trip up there sometime. the best place would probably
be a mile or so upriver where there is no road and most people too lazy to walk it.
Best accessed with a jon boat and small motor.
