Yep, or a shotgun either one.

They make all that that fancy JHP pistol ammo that mushrooms perfectly and penetrates exactly to FBI recommendations.
But it will probably fall you spectacularly in many situations.

The old saying that a pistol is to buy time so you can get to your rifle rings pretty true in this story.

Fired a warning shot as someone is trying to come through the door.

I can't imagine why anyone would ever fire a warning shot if they REALLY felt their life was in danger.

Also thats why i carry more than just 8 rounds, also it be a good idea to have more than 1 gun, thats where AR15s and shotguns come in handy.
