While I’m not a big fan of playing god, I always figured CRISPR editing was a much better idea in livestock than humans.

What do you think about it? More reliable profits in the future? Ecological disaster waiting to happen?

Sounds a little too good.

"It is also important to make sure consumers understand these processes, Brown said, because gene editing does not make these animals genetically modified organisms."

Yes, it does, at least according to these people.
Genetically Modified Organisms
It's also a pretty decent article.

So we're going to genetically modify living organisms but it doesn't really count as a GMO? Sure. I believe you. :laugh6:

I blame all this crap on Bill Clinton.

Don't like it at all, I've seen the movie "Rampage." Doubt we have a Duane Johnson that can save us from the monsters this will create...

However some genetically modified crops have been a good thing for the human race, like Corn and Wheat. When it comes to animals not a huge fan. Not for religious reasons, but unchecked science is never good, especially when combined with politics.

Man I'm torn. I'm a big believer in selective breeding but I dunno. Somehow this seems like a bridge too far. I hope in a hundred years mankind can look back and make fun of this Boomer for being an old curmudgeon and trying to keep people off her lawn. 🤗😇
