Just kidding. My family went to Arbuckle Wilderness today. I sure enjoy going down there and seeing the animals. That place has really went down hill though. Really sad to see. But we still had a great time. That bison was so big the picture don’t do it justice. It was massive. I got to pet him a few times but when he first came up I got scared. Amazing animals. My all time favorite. And to be able to see a white one just made it even better! We ended the day going to eat at smoking Joes rib ranch! It was excellent. Just wanted to share our day.

Your camel pic is cool I can say it looks a little tamer than the one I met at the giza piyramids in Egypt tried to take a bite out of me .it was 30 years ago on video tape no way to post it now but it was pretty funny wife got it on tape. Never been to Arbuckle glad you had a good time.

Looks like a great day for your and family! Wondered how it was going with the Curator no longer in charge.
I do have to relate a story though that was brought up by your pics.
Years ago, wife and I were headed to Woolaroc Museum by Bartlesville.
She doesn't like wandering around in museums, so there was some tension.
Upon coming into the property, there was some testy discussion going on.
Finally stopped by some animal habitat areas to continue the "testy" discussion. What she didn't see and I did was this big ostridge headed for our vehicle on the other side of the fence. It reached it's head into the vehicle and nipped her ear. The freak out commenced.....lol.
Anyway, we visited the facility. She is still not a museum person like I am, but that's life.

When I was much younger, my parents took me to the Arbuckle wilderness, there was an ostrich that reached its head in the car & took my Graham cracker, & it tried to take my finger too. My mom can still tell the story & remember how shocked she was when that overgrown bird reached into the car right in front of her face to get to my cracker, & then hearing my immediate screaming & crying.
I haven't liked those birds even a little bit since that day.

I've not been there since I was a wee lad. They used to have a few giraffes out there, scared the crap out of my cousin once. On a seperate occasion an ostrich stuck his head in and proceeded to eat the entire bucket of feed we bought.
