Everyone may laugh out loud or quietly about the idea of 'cooking with scraps' but unless things turn around and food prices drop, this may come to pass. Many of our parents went through the Great Depression (1929-1941).

I cook with left over scraps often. You kind of have to when on a fixed budget. Left over ham gets cut up and used in Ham & Swiss casserole with left over veggies. Sometimes I use left over carrots, green beans and / or potatoes to make Home Style Beef. Lots of things you can do.
