Granted more rounds is always a good thing, but when it comes to a HD shotgun, and you've emptied the gun of 5+1, either your a bad shot or WWIII has started!

How much for a used but in nearly new condition Moss 500? I found one for $290 but I want to try to talk him down to $275. $300 is probably the top of my budget for either a Mossberg or Remy

I bought an H&R Pardner pump at Sportsworld around February. $169 for an 870 clone. It ain't great but it gets you 5+1 go 12 ga and you can add an extension to the tube. Half the price of the 870= sounds like it fits your bill.

I'd just go for the Maverick if you wanna stay in your stated price range. Decent shotgun for the money, IMNSHO.

I believe that is the choice I am going to go with.

What I want is much more expensive, but the Maverick is what I can afford for now.
