I meet an associate at Bass Pro shop to get my new holster and while I was there I said the samething to him and he suggested the Lansky sharping kit because I have never sharpened knifes before. After watching a few youtube videos I was able to sharpen 5 of our knifes that were almost 10 years old and boy did they cut like butter. Maybe you might give it a try.
