I used to cut round stark into bite size pieces, cut a potato, onion, and carrot, season, wrap it in foil put the packet on the top of my pick-up engine block. After a couple hours of driving it would be ready.

LOL, I have done it in paper cups. A friend was with me and didn't believe that it would survive... Man was that ever a long time ago, 94 I think.
There was a lady on TV many years ago that had a series about outdoor cooking using paper bags on PBS. She did cakes and all sorts of things. You just have to keep the paper below combustion temperature.
