Life insurance metlife annual fees high?

Im with met life and paid $60 a month since 1987, they are charging me $600.00 every year annually. My balance only has 1200.00. The thing I talked to my friends and they said they have about 100k also for face amount an 10k in balance. Is my life insurance too expensive? Let me know what you guys are paying.

My face amount it 99,101.00 and I'm 50 by the way.

sounds like you got the wrong life insurance....

I'd be looking at changing the policy to a standard life insurance policy and put the rest in savings. When it comes time it is one or the other not both...

Yep. Get a cheap term policy and put the difference in a retirement account.

Term life is what you need. Dump the whole life racket and put the balance you save in premiums into something that brings a respectable return.
