Looking for a rifle range in Norman that will allow a 15 year old boy in to shoot

I live in Stillwater,,,
But my nephew lives in Norman,,,
It's too far away for me to drive very often.

I am giving him a Henry Acu-Bolt for Christmas this year,,,
Now I'm trying to find a range in Norman where he can shoot it.

I'm perfectly willing to buy a membership for myself,,,
And to buy him membership as a family member,,,
He just needs to be able to go there by himself.

My Brother works all evenings and nights,,,
He won't be able to take him shooting.

Can anyone help me with this dilemma?

Is there even a legal solution to this dilemma?

Any help and or advice will be greatly appreciated.

No range that I know of is going to allow a 15 year old shoot a firearm without being with an adult.

18 will be the minimum for what you want. Very much a bummer, but that is the world we live in...

There's the Lexington WMA in Slaughterville. About 20 minutes south of Norman. All you need is a current hunting license. Honestly not too sure about unattended minors, however....

The sad thing is that at 15 he probably hasnt picked up any bad habits yet. I would probably rather shoot with him beside me than the mall ninja sweeping me every time he turns and ask "Did you get that on film"

But all the ranges I called in Norman said he must be accompanied.

around here there are a couple 4h groups that go to Tulsa gun club. consider checking them out as well as explorers and boy scouts.

I'm not sure about sending an unattended adult to Lex, let alone a minor, and bicycling out there is damn near suicidal...
