Thats a very very lucky man. The fact that it rained so that he got water. Dam lucky. I was wondering from the title how he managed it

I think the shark wanted to eat him.

It was years ago, before getting into the military myself, but remember reading lots of books about sailors, airmen, etc that were adrift at sea and what they had to do to survive.
The story's were incredible.
I think thats what made me choose the Army. LOL

Lucky guy.

Read the last sentence of the story.

"The record for drifting at sea is believed to be held by two fishermen, also from Kiribati, who were at sea for 177 days before coming ashore in Samoa in 1992.

One of two assumptions can be made from this.... The people of Kiribati are extreme survivors OR MORE LIKELY,.... The people of Kiribati suck at navigating the ocean.

Just kidding. He deserves every kudo for surviving this. It would suck having to bury you friend at sea......and thinking your next.
