Moving question

Im going to be moving in a week. I have the change of address form printed out and will be sending it in. On the form it says to destroy my old card when the new one arrives. My question is can i still carry when i move to my new house or do i have to wait for the updated card? Thanks Daniel

The OSBI has a faq as follows:

Q: How do I change my address on my license?
A: Send a completed request form or notarized letter requesting the change of address to the OSBI, SDA Unit. Both the old and new address must be included in the letter. If a replacement license is desired, include $15 via Money Order, Cashier's Check or Credit Card.

Since it is optional to get a replacement, then this implies to me that your address does not need to be current, for the license to be valid. Call the OSBI (405) 848-6724 to discuss.
