I have a few cases of MREs that I'm thinking of rotating with newer ones.

The ones I have are dated 2008.

Just wondering, what is the shelf life of MREs?
Are these still viable?

Thanks

Dave

Dave,

Typical shelf life for military contract purchased MREs was five years, extendable by another 5 upon inspection (the vet would look for damaged packaging, signs of leaking, storage in high moisture or non-climate controlled facilities, etc.).

I am not sure of civilian purchased "MRE" meet the same standards

Understand about civilian MREs, but these aren't
