I just picked up this little jewel at my local dealer.
Purchased new around 1954 and put up in a closet and forgotten.
Never fired, never loaded, virtually never touched, just plain flawless.
Smith & Wesson Model 30-1 .32 Hand Ejector.

I'd go ahead and shoot it. Had it been and older model of the 1903 variety I might have a different opinion since it's so pristine.

FYI. The -1 is actually a J frame and was introduced in 1960 for the Model 30s. The originals were an I frame and were discontinued in 1942 and then a more modern version was re-introduced in 1949. The Model 30 designation came in 1957. Then in 1960 they made them from J frames and added the -1.

Don't you love it when you stumble onto a brand new old gun? :D
Nice find...
