I was on the NW end, near the safes. I figured at first it was someone accidentally setting of one of the pyrotechnic-type things at the vendor with the big flares/dragons breath/etc. tables. Sounded like it came from that area. Then the announcement shortly after. Got real quiet for a minute after the bang,

Now I’m kinda curious. What happens to someone who has an ND like that? Are they charged with anything? Fined?

Damn!! Just read the thread! It’s no wonder the gun community has the bad name it does! Even at a mass pro gun event people won’t be careful!! Do you think this stuff is staged by anti-gunners? I
There was a guy screaming as he left the building today. Not sure what he was saying but he sure was upset about something.
Someone lowballed him.

Just a few years back I had a table or three at one of the smaller gun shows in the Tulsa Expo Center. It was early Sunday AM, dealers only, no public yet. A dealer decided to check to see if guns on his table were loaded by pointing them at the floor and pulling the trigger. Yep, a 7.62 x 39 was in the chamber of one. BOOM! A noticeable chunk of concrete floor disturbed. Muzzle was pointed in a safe (mostly) direction so no one physically hurt. Very quickly TPD showed up, offending dealer and all his wares quickly sent out the nearest side door. Promoter was not happy nor were the rest of the table holders present.

My understanding of what I have been told:
If you were the seller (it was your table) and -- oops! -- your gun was loaded with your ammo that suddenly went BANG!. Then you get packed up and escorted out of the show with instructions to never come back again. Doesn't matter if you pulled the trigger or a tire kicking would be customer did it. It's your fault. The guns on your table are supposed to be unloaded.
What happens if you were the seller (your table and your UNLOADED gun) and some dumb-- was somehow able to chamber a round in a zip tied gun "to see if it'd fee-yut" and the idiot managed to pull the trigger -- maybe while you were showing another gun to somebody else ??????? No idea on that one.
That makes sense. Thanks for the reply. I never actually knew what the consequences would be for the little Faux Pas!!

Years ago, I went there with a friend on Saturday. He called me Saturday night to see if I wanted to go back Sunday and I declined. He called me Sunday afternoon to tell me a gun went off in there that day. The bullet went through a table bounced off the floor and hit the dealer in the ankle. A few years later my wife and I went and a Glock 10mm (I was told) went off in there. You could have heard a nat fart for around 30 seconds it got so quiet. People should know better. If you pick up a gun, check it yourself.
