The particular rifle in the video was later than Lewis and Clark. The JM Davis Gun Museum in Claremore has one of the actual type and vintage that was used by the two explorers. It's not currently on display, but back at Christmas I was so fortunate as to receive a tour of the storage room and got to see it. A very interesting weapon, to be sure. I was surprised to learn that air rifles were being used so long ago.
