We had run in with one Yesterday and yes it was a full grown Mt lion. At 30 yards you can't misstake it for a bobcat. Scared me the heck out of me. He came real close to being shot.
Some folks accused the old tamale lady of using cat in her tamales. God let us hope that they were joking.

But.....I love chinese food
There is a chinese restauraunt in Sallisaw that would love to serve you some fresh cat. FDA found several cats in their freezer a few years ago. I used to eat there every weekend...Now? Not so much.
Been around this old world a few times, and had to live off the local economy....cat might be pretty tasty compared to some.
So...why didn't you shoot it!? OR at least take a picture of it?
I heard another story of a hunter near us that had to beat a bobcat out of his tree while bow hunting! It's getting pretty dangerous out there!

I didn't have my phone. I should have just shot it but I was in shock. My six year old just had a blank stare on his face. If I see him or her again I will shoot it. Am glad nobody got hurt.
If you've ever seen both of them up close, there's no mistaking them. A Mt. Lion looks nothing like a Bobcat up close...
And their breath smells quite different. One smells of rats and mice, the other smells of, well, Zombie flesh.
