Now I know a lot more about the mountain lion controversy in Ok.
I frequent another disussion forum and a guy posted pics of a mountain lion taken from another state, and one of the replies, was "is that a lynx or a bobcat"

So if people think a ML is a lynx or bobcat, then there must have been hundreds of them seen which people have thought nothing of, thinking they're bobcats - so, it stands to reason that we have many many more MLs than previously thought! We're probably being overrun with them and don't even know it.

I had a friend tell me he had good video of a lion near Stillwater several years ago. I watched it and it was a great video....of a bobcat. He had several minutes of it and the bobbed tail and spots???? I told him it was obviously a bobcat and he said, "Isn't that too big for a bobcat?" It wasn't even a big bobcat. I am convinced that 99%+ of the people who say they saw lions are seeing dogs or deer or bobcats or something but not lions.
