[The NSA <CONSPIRACY THEORIST>chief himself admits the numbers are wildly inflated, and there were only “one or two” terrorist plots foiled. The NSA’s deputy director says that – at the most – one (1) plot might have been disrupted by the bulk phone records collection alone.]

Note the all important “and other NSA programs” language here. Also the use of “terrorist events” not plots. And, remember, those “thirteen events… in the U.S. homeland,” have since been whittled down to only one that actually relied on the call records program that she’s defending - and that wasn’t a terrorist plot but a cab driver in San Diego sending some cash to a Somali group judged to be a terrorist organization.

I'm glad there are so many americans, who will trade their freedom to be protected from the gang Isis, with their navy,Air Force, spec ops, etc. we made it through the Cold War against Russia who could have actually hurt us without trashing the bill of rights. I'm sure we can handle a gang of wannabe terrorist.

Well, I can't prove to you he said it, but I heard the same thing--in almost exactly the same words--from David Cid, director of the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism. He had absolutely no respect for the program.
Mortimer Fudd, head of the Democratic Organization of Guys Striving Hard to Investigate Terrorism, has said essentially the same thing. Fudd is as solid as they come.

If the .gov was truly concerned about terrorist, they would have the border under control instead of wide open. The .gov says it is keeping us safe by using unconstitutional tools on one hand, on the other the country is wide open to anyone. If they want us to be afraid of terrorist they should at least look like they're trying to stop them.

Yes, you're right. Wide open. Other than the fact the southern border is the most secure it's been in the entire history of this country. More agents on patrol. More cameras. More miles of walls and fences. It's harder now to illegally cross into this country than ever. But, ya know, wide open.

Number of arrests does not equal number of crossing, wasn't there an uproar a few years back about BP agents being told not to arrest border crossers? I recall agents, union officers, and training documents being leaked talking about the dream act seekers.

I agree! So why didn't the NSA prevent the Boston bombings? More wasted money on the so called keeping America (bs) safe project.

And ya’ know, it’s no surprise that sycophant trolls would mindlessly believe a couple half-truths to parrot administration propaganda.

Decades of failed policy has not made it more difficult to cross the border. CBP has stated that they do not have enough agents and their agents do not have the right equipment. Having ineffective fencing is like having more of Obama’s ineffective fiscal policies. Having more drones and more “cameras” (that have shown that it is absolutely not “harder now to illegally cross into the country”) is like having more “shovel ready jobs”.

Suggestion? Spend less time at the salad bar and try some honest research. “:”

This year an agent testified at the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee on behalf of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) Local 3307 that if a CBP agent even reports illegal alien groups of 20 they will receive a crap assignment in retribution for doing such.

He also testified that administration claims of the border being 75% secure are patently false and that they only catch 35% to maybe 40% of those that cross illegally.

Combine this with the recidivism of those they do arrest and it is hard for all but the progressively challenged (like Ace) to think that our borders are secure.
