I am familiar with yard deer hunts.
Wow! This is the slowest I think I've ever seen deer movement.
This morning I hunted the same new stand as Saturday morning, and the only deer I saw was a GIANT 8 point that I've never seen or had on camera before. He was following the road to my stand but veered off before getting within shooting range, so I investigated his path when I got down and decided to set up a ground blind and camera to try to get a better look at him. I hunted my normal evening stand and saw a doe and yearling, but I'll be in the ground blind in the morning. After doing the math on what this new deer has on top of his head, I'm almost positive he's going to die if he come back in the morning.
Is it just my place or is deer movement slow in other parts of the state?
