Visited the only ICBM launch HQ available to the public today.
Quebec 1.
This is ground zero during the Cold War.
Operators spent three days on duty. Hardened against Neucler blast with 4’ thick blast doors that had seals.

The floors and oxygen recovery system contained enough to keep the two person crew alive for three months with tools to dig through the asphalt parking lot after dumping the 60 thousand pounds of sand in the escape tube.
The troops leaving three days duty passed a tiny glass cutter to those coming on duty to signify that if that if was truly hit, the escape tube would be solid glass. No way to get out although it’s still there.

The wife and I picked up our new boat yesterday morning down at Norris Marine in Norman and pulled it up here to Grand. Man it rained most of the way and pretty hard in places. Forecast for us up here is no more rain for the next 4 to 5 days. Such great news.
I was able to get the boat out yesterday afternoon and get the first two hour break in done. Man it runs nice. Wife and I plan on taking her for a good long ride today.
