question about loading 308

i just started loading for 308, and loaded a few test rounds. but the bolt is hard to close, alot harder than factory rounds. what am i doing wrong?

Check your overall length, as well. Also, if you are using heavey bullets, ie.. 220 gr. the ogive of the bullet may be too far down the overall length. you may have to seat the bullet deeper to allow clearance. You should be 10 thousands (at least) off the lands.

Sounds like you are not bumping the shoulder back. Make sure your sizing die is "bumped" by the shell holder, you want to feel the press linkage cam over at the end of the stroke.
