Looks like my container grown greenhouse fig tree is going to have a good crop.

So I put this corral panel fence around my garden to keep the deer out.

Just had some t posts every 24 ft and it leaned and was a pain to open up to get the tractor in.
I brain stormed for a year on how to improve it.

I knew I was going to replace the tee Post with pipe but wasn't sure what I would use to connect them to the panels without too much work.

It finally dawned on me I had some empty barb wire rolls

The end piece has a loop already.

All I had to do was bend it over, cut it off and weld it to the pipe.

It's not heavy duty but it'll work for this .

I have one of those similar to that design that is well over 100 years old. It's attached to my shop building now and use it after having to do some major rebuilding.
Just below the N,S,E and W, the shaft was locked up by rust when I got it.
Cut it off there, and welded a new shaft to it with a rod that I dimpled on the lathe so a ball bearing could fit between the shaft and the rod. Used some grease used in the arctic for a lube and it's been running for almost 30 years now.
Take a pic of it tomorrow if I remember. LOL.

Great idea and fantastic job 2busy 👍. Now all you have left to do is attach a small chain to the head of that bolt then to the gate because that bolt is surely going to get misplaced (or stolen) eventually 🙂

It will not be removed, it's the pivot point. I'll be using the connection on the other end between the two panels.
The way it was I couldn't swing both panels completely open at the same time due to pinch point.
The pipe creates a gap so the panels are not touching each other on either side. I know it's too much information 😃.
