I used a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 4.7L V-8 at 45 mph to get this deer on November 29th.
I used a model 70 with a nikon scope in 30-06, have never needed a pistol to finish anything so im not carrying. That being said I have used a handgun numerous times as a primary weapon, favorite being my 460 S&W.
