Any of you guys ever spend any time in Roswell? My daughter has an internship there this summer and I am looking for information concerning housing, safety, areas to avoid and just any information any of you would be kind enough to share. Thanks for the help.

The New Mexico Military Institute is there. Lot of single military guys there.
The Plus side for when you go visit, Ruidoso/Cloudcroft/Alamogordo are about an hour or little more away. That's some beautiful country on top.

Be careful of strange lights in the sky at night....
It's not far from Hatch, where they hold the annual Hatch Chile Festival. Good eats there for sure; I had the best dang burrito-something I ever ate out of a food tent there a few years back. Also, you can go to Albuquerque pretty easily and ride in a hot air balloon or ride the Sandia Mountains Aerial tram; the world's longest tram ride. And to add to what Dennis said, be careful of accepting rides from strangers in funny looking outfits.
