The Ponca City Rifle and Pistol club addressed this issue in our monthly meeting on Monday.

We made the call to waive the classroom costs of any local teacher or administrator that wants to obtain their CCL. We are in the process of contacting the school board to see how many are willing to do this.

Don't forget about the registration and political action day at USSA this Saturday. Teachers/school employees can register to take free classes for carry license and active shooter response.

I do have some concerns here, as an educator. What would prevent any backlash from an admin that does not support this law? Due to the new evaluation system in place, an admin merely needs to mark you as unsatisfactory two consecutive times in a category and you can be terminated. Tenure be damned. That would be my primary concern

Lawsuit....discrimination against gun owners....can't be terminated for that....
