My family and I went to see it last night at the IMAX. I have to say as a huge Star Wars fan Not a new generation fan but one since the original trilogy. I have to say this movie was horrible on so many levels. Even Mark Hamil was unhappy with how the writer/director made Luke Skywalker in the film. Luke was an old, cynical wuss. We get no answers from any of the questions that came up in the first film. It was boring throughout most of the movie and when the action finally got good it was ruined by piss poor writing and directing. I would rate this as one of the worst in the series. I just cannot believe anyone could say this movie was good. I am not one to nitpick movies either. I go to have fun. But this one was so bad I had no choice but to pick it apart. I don’t even care if another one is made. Usually the movie will leave you wanting more. This one not so much. It made me pissed that I just wasted as much money as I did on such a bad movie. And to think, people said JJ Abrams did a horrible job on the force awakens. I thought that movie was great. Not perfect but really good. If y’all have seen it what do you think?

I loved it, better than Force Awakens IMO. Pretty much feel the opposite of you..... I can't see how anyone would be so negative about it. I've got some power dork comicon friends that loved it and one hated it (but he saw it three times to make sure?) Oh well. Probably going to go try to see it again at the IMAX.

I thought it was ok. I really hate the new "cute" characters they try to bring in to get a cheap chuckle or ahhh cute moment.

The way they had Luke was kinda disappointing cause they had him as a loner who gave up his powers, but at the last moment somehow he had greater abilities than Yoda. WTF? I really thought Luke as kind of a b!tch in episodes 4 5 & 6 and now all the sudden he's super badass after giving up his practice? Didn't jive with me.

I did like how they brought back the original type Yoda though.
I'll have to watch it a couple more times to decide if I really like it or not.

Saw it earlier today, it was ok but nothing to rave over. Seen all of them and some are just better than others. The latest was missing a lot of story to me, the previous one was a lot better.

Got to watch the Dolby cinema version for free since the theater messed up the last movie we went to see. Was supposed to be in 3D and it wasn't so we got passes and a refund for the last one. Oddly enough I only paid 5 bucks for the last one (T-Mobile Tuesday code) but we got the full refund.

Have seen all of them also. Last one I saw wasn't that great IMO. Maybe I'm just gettin' older.Seems like Disney is just crankin' them out too fast...

#1 first time any spaceship, in Star Wars to ran out fuel.
#2 leia floating in space
#3 The bombing in space
#4 No back story or any info on Snoke
#5 Now going to light speed can destroy other spaceship?
#6 Super Jedi with no training.
#7 SJW seen at casino.
#8 They made Kylo Ren A EMO *****
#9 holograms
#10 The First Order had the perfect weapon stashed on one of their ships to break into a 40yo abandoned Rebel base on the ass end of nowhere.
#11 The crap apperently completely unarmed salt speeders, that need to touch the ground to make the , admittedly cool, red ground effects. That have absolutely no overhead protection

Got to rebuild the Rebel Alliance .......again !
That seemed to be the case after Return of the Jedi, and yet somehow in the intervening 30 years, the Republic squandered away all that they had won.

I give it a 'B' grade. It was good enough, but far from excellent.

I was disappointed they off-ed Snoke so easily. (I have a hard time that a master emperor Snoke can connect the thoughts of 2 Jedi's across the universe - and whiny punk Kylo Ren killed him? Total BS. And the red guards were worthless.)
And was anyone else really hoping that REY WOULD JOIN KYLO in the dark side??? That would have been an interesting plot twist.

On the good side, Disney gave plenty of credit/omage to the original Star Wars.
And they've mostly removed the old cast members, so they can focus on the NEW star wars characters and story.
