Wife daughters and I ran down to range late this evening and shot some 22’s. The 100 yard and 200 yard 12” steel plates are a slam dunk now. We just started working on 300 yards before it got dark. This is gonna be a ton of fun. Picture of 300yd target below and what the bullets look like after impacting the steel plate. We were shooting a Bergara b14r and a ruger precision rimfire.

I had a pretty fun run where I was dialed for 100yards and would hold for 200 yards alternating between distances shooting as fast as I was on target. That was a bunch of fun. It almost seemed I would be on 100 yard target about to pull trigger when I’d hear the hit on the 200 yard target. We were shooting Cci standard velocity. 50 yard zero.

So we'll see you in Valley View, TX next month for our ELR match? .22LR at 500 yards with MagnetoSpeed Flashers at 400, 450, and 500.
Heck I will have to google to find out what a flasher is! Lol. The only thing magnetospeed I know is they make chronographs.

Edit: just googled it. Man I need some of those! I can hear and see my 300yd hits but I bet when I go to my very thick 400yd plate I won’t be able to hear it.

Just think how much better you could shoot if you weren’t using Chicom glass and could clearly see the targets past 100 yards.
I'm, betting the folks shooting long range .22 RF are using some pretty good glass.
What's amazing is that very few scopes are actually USA stamped.
I think the majority are built in China, and the Philippines with some in Japan.
Exception being those built in Europe that can be really pricey.
Scopes are all over the place now.

I know. It’s horrible! FedEx dropped another one here today that got mounted on the ruger rimfire. What was I thinking. Zero it at 50 and then hand it to 13yo and watch them dial back and forth between 100 and 200 yards ringing steel. Then the wife takes it and dials for 300 and “Ping”. Then the 17 year old takes it and dials back and forth for 100 and 200. Ping ping ping ping. Ridiculous man. Lol
