I personally drive the speed limit everywhere I go. Exactly, on the dot, the speed limit.
I find that I don't get there any faster or slower really than not holding to this principle and it's not worth the traffic stop, potential ticket, insurance hikes, etc... to do otherwise.
I do also always drive in the appropriate lane for my speed. Normally I still end up having to pass people even when driving on the rightmost lanes. The thing that bothers me is when I'm in a more towards the left type lane and someone exceeding the speed limit comes barrelling up my a$$ and tailgates me until I've completed my pass.
